Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on 13 December 1989 in West Reading, Pennsylvania. Swift is a pop/country singer-songwriter for more than 20 years. Swift's stories of young love and heartbreak has earned her the acclaim of many throughout the 21st century. Swift was a fan of music from a young age and she progressed quickly through roles in the children's theater until her first performance before a crowd of thousands. She was age 11 when she sang The Star-Spangled Banner before a basketball game for the Philadelphia 76ers. in the next year she picked up a guitar and began writing songs. Swift got inspiration from musicians in country music such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and, more recently, the Chicks to develop original material which reflected the alienation that she felt around the age of 13. Swift was forced to move from Pennsylvania with her family to Hendersonville, Tennessee when she was 13 years old to dedicate more time to the wooing of bands of the country genre in Nashville.
